Invisalign® straightens teeth using a series of smooth and comfortable custom-made aligners to gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. The aligners are made of virtually invisible plastic and don’t require any metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. Dr. Daniel Tracy is the Invisalign provider in our Seekonk office. He recommends keeping up to date with dental maintenance before beginning Invisalign® treatment. “Patients should have had their hygiene visit and any exams or restorative work done prior to beginning Invisalign®.”

Dr. Tracy explains that Invisalign® is low maintenance for patients and that the best results are achieved from consistency. “Patients should always be wearing the aligners with the exception of when they eat, drink (unless it’s water) and brush and floss their teeth. Patients have the best success when they wear the aligners every day.”

The duration of Invisalign® treatment differs for every patient depending on their case, but doesn’t typically exceed more than two years. “The process could take anywhere between six months and two years depending on the patient’s case, but in most cases, it usually takes between six months and 1.5 years.”
